Headquartered in Memphis, Zellner has been providing high-quality construction for 48 years. Our team is made up of about 30 employees that have extensive experience in the construction/contracting industry. We believe that our competitive advantage results from the mutual trust and respect that we share with our employees and our subcontractors.

    Principal | President

    Mark teamed up with his father in 1978 after graduating from the University of Memphis with a Bachelors in Business Administration and working for IBM for several years. Once his father retired from the business in 1990, Mark took the helm as company President. Mark has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors for both the West Tennessee Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors and the Memphis Minority Business Council.

    Jesse decided to follow in his father and grandfather's footsteps and join the family business in 2010. He attended the University of Alabama where he earned a BS in Commerce and Business Administration. He is a member of the USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, Associated General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    Having been with Zellner for 22 years, Mac is our chief estimator, as well as one of the company's four partners. He studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology prior to beginning his career in construction in 1975. He is a member of the USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, Associated General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    Having been with Zellner for nearly 40 years, Jerrell is a pro at planning, directing and coordinating. In addition to overseeing day-to-day jobsite operations and logistics, he is one of the company's four partners. He studied at the University of Memphis, where he found his passion for operations.  He is also a member of USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, Associated General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    Carey Ward

    Projects Director

    Since 2001, Carey has been a key member of the team, previously serving as Zellner’s assistant field engineer and assistant superintendent. He attended Mississippi State University and earned a BBA in Management of Construction and Land Development. He is a LEED Green Associate and a member of USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, Associated General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    William began his career in the construction industry 30 years ago, and has been with Zellner nearly 15 of those years. He aids with overseeing day-to-day jobsite operations and logistics.William is a member of USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    David began his career in the construction industry 30 years ago, and in 2011 he joined Zellner and has been a valuable asset ever since. He earned a BS in Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis. David is a member of USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    Senior Estimator

    Rob joined Zellner in 2013, bringing his 30 years of commercial construction experience in estimating and project management to use as our Senior Estimator.  Rob also brings preconstruction service skills to the table, focusing on site specific project analysis including cost effective budgeting and reviewing for compliance with various regulatory agencies including the EPA, TDEC and the TN Licensing  Board, all of which he maintains a current certification with.  Rob studied business administration at the University of Tennessee (Martin) and has a degree in Construction Technology from Southwest at Memphis.

    Project Manager

    Ryan joined Zellner in 2015. He attended Roger Williams University and earned a B.S. in Construction Management. He is an Associate Constructor certified by the American Institute of Constructors and is a member of the USGBC, Construction Specifications Institute, Associated General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.

    Controller

    Renee has been with Zellner since 2000.  She manages all of Zellner's accounting, reporting, and financial operations.

    Since 1996, Carolyn has managed Zellner's purchasing and contract administration.

    When she is not stealing donuts from the break room, Colby heads up security at the office.
